About the PSL

The Pakistan Super League is a professional Twenty20 cricket league contested by six city-based franchise teams. It is one of the premier T20 leagues in the world and has helped revive international cricket in Pakistan.

History & Legacy

The league was founded in 2015 by the Pakistan Cricket Board. Instead of operating as an association of independently owned teams, the league is a single entity in which each franchise is owned and controlled by investors.

The first season was held entirely in the UAE due to security concerns, but since 2017, matches have gradually returned to Pakistan, with the 2020 final being held in Lahore.

Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars are the most successful teams, with three and two titles respectively.
